Revolver

by Ben Wiggins

I've watched a lot of Revolver lately, and the main things I took from their game against PoNY were that having Martin Cochran to reliably guard the biggest players is a massive help to their D. It changes the rest of their matchups, and having 4 other players that aren't worried first about being out-bigged is a major change for Revolver this year. This may prove to be the most important change in landscape of the Revolver/Jam rivarly.

Eric Halverson was quiet offensively. This is a good thing for Revolver; Halverson often acts as the pressure-relief for this O. He throws huck and long-breaks when the offense goes backwards, enabling them to break through against the high-pressure defenses on the West Coast. The fewer times Eric has to wind up a big throw, the more smoothly the Revolver offense must be moving.
